The importance of educating
minority women about early detection
The vast majority of people of color dwell in the have-not category when it comes to health insurance. Unfortunately, this is the same reason minority women are fatally affected by breast cancer more often than not. Women of color are also very private people; this is why it is so important for us to educate them about their bodies and what they can do as self advocates promoting early cancer detection. It has been proven that breast cancer, when it is caught early, has almost a 100% success in recovery.

Help us keep our doors open to all who may need our services. Help spread the truth, Mammograms Can Save Lives. Fear and finances should not cost woment their lives. TDRBCF offers free counceling and breast screening for uninsured minority women under 40 years old, five days a week.
