In honor of Angela Pittman, a long time supporter of TDRBCF, we have changed the name of our outreach program to "The Angela Pittman Life Saver Outreach Program." One of Angela's missions was to educate youth about cancer awareness.

Her mission lives on through this outreach program, which strives to educate teenagers and young adults about breast health and recruit members of TDRBCF's mission.

This advocacy/recruitment program focuses its outreach on students, ranging from high school to college. TDRBCF trains the Life Savers to be breast health advocates who encourage all people to be aware of their health, regardless of age.

As it becomes more evident of how important our mission is, it also becomes more evident of how imperative your support is. Help us help those in need of our service and programs. The truth is that Americans do not receive the same health coverage. In this capitalistic society we live in, the reality is that there are haves and have-nots.

Mammograms Can Save Lives Program
  • Women/Men under 40/uninsured or under insured to receive donation based mammograms and/or referrals
  • There are plenty of programs including Every Woman Counts, and BCCEPT Programs for women 40 and over to receive free mammograms.
  • TDRBCF is one of the few that represent women under 40.

Styling for Life Program



  • Utilizes the Cosmetologist-Client relationship to promote mammograms/ early detection in African American women communities
  • Stylist become “Life Stylist” after breast cancer resource training

  • "Hats Off To Survivors" Campaign provides hats and scarfs to women going through Chemotherapy

The Living Tree Tele-Support Program

    from survivors via phone conversations.
